blah, blah, blah

It was one of those days.....again.  Feeling like I am the only one in the world.   Feeling like yellow paint on a red door that is just swinging in the wind.  I can relate to this picture as my favorite color is yellow.  I am over it now this evening.  Has it been 21 days since the last episode?  I hope this is not a pattern. I feel crabby.  Blah, blah, blah.......  looking forward to the fact that tomorrow is a new day.  I think I will do another body cleanse this week, maybe that will do the trick.
***side note, OMG, I just went and looked in the history for this blog and it has been 21 days exactly....now that is scary!

Change your thoughts and you change your world.

Kaleidoscope In Bloom

My attempt at putting a video to music..... kind of hypnotic.  Maybe I should disguise some positive engergy words while you are being hypnotized?  It's amazing how fast two minutes flies by when you are watching something hypnotic....LOL !!!

I recorded this video through the eyepiece of a large kaleidoscope focused on a spinning pot of flowers at the Green Bay Botanical Gardens.

Life is like an ever-shifting kaleidoscope.

Corn Dog Karma

"SLOW MOTION AMPLIFIED."  Isn't that just how it goes when you are in a hurry?  Just because I wanted to go fast to get to a friends house that lived two hours away, someone up there above threw a pokey corn dog truck in my path.  Can we all say together "putt putt", "turtle speed", "snail pace".  It seemed un-passable for miles and miles.......argh.  It was excruciating.  Yeah, I was speeding a bit before I met up with the big yellow hut on wheels.  Maybe it was a blessing in disguise.

When everything is coming your way, you're probably in the wrong lane.

Foster The People - Pumped Up Kicks

PUMPED UP KICKS MUSIC VIDEO BELOW

Something about this song, I really like...my new fav summer song!  I just had to post it so I'd have a quick link to hear it play.  I'm not too keen on the lyrics but damn, it sure has a catchy tune.  A slick bassline thump and an undeniably hip chorus with some whistling going on.  It is a song where I could see myself jamming to it with head phones on while kicking back on the couch or doing some dance around the living room with my arms swinging around through the air.

I'm not a huge fan of the story behind the lyrics, I don't know why they had to go and put a dark cloud story on an up beat melody of the music.  It kind of ruins the whole fun part of it....which I find to be a huge bummer to a rock'n song.  Their video shows them having fun, full of  smiles and happy go lucky so that does not even jive with the lyrics.  It's so chilled lyrically and light-hearted visually that it is kind of disturbing.  I think that they would of had a higher success percentage of selling recorded copies of songs if they would of sweetened up the story line a bit.

Even though I really had no idea of what a "Pumped Up Kicks" was, I was okay with that and I liked the sound of it as it sounds cool when you hear it.  My daughter and I had no idea what they were, so we googled it and we are now guessing that they are fancy trendy shoes!  So with that in mind, since we don't know half of what they are singing about....we have changed bullet to bucket (maybe that could be a bike in our mind) when we sing along. In part of the song it sounds like he is saying bucket anyway!  Now that I changed up a few of the lyrics to our own style, we are oblivious to bullets and guns and are happy with our funky summer song....  big smile :)

2011 Felt Bicycle "The Cruiser"

Holy buckets batman...we never win anything! Woot, woot...pinch me as I can't believe it is real!

A few weeks back, I walked into a liquor store and saw this beauty on display with a box sitting below it for a drawing.  I thought, dang that is a beautiful bike and so I put my name in the drawing box.  I  had some extra time to kill so I also put another one in for my sister as well.....we are now new owners of this beautiful and kick ass bike!  We are so excited and can't believe it is true!

New Belgium Brewery is doing a promotion for their 20 year anniversary and this is their 20th Year Anniversary Fat Tire Cruiser with the theme "Joy Ride."  This Custom Fat Tire Cruiser is made by Felt.

The bike is decked out with so many custom details.  I dig the pint glass cut outs on the sprocket and the rack is killer! The leather seat and the fantastic bell ringer are sweet!  We can't figure out if we should keep it or try and sell it for some loot.  It is so beautiful and quite the conversation piece, it will be hard to pry our fingers off of it to sell it.... but if the price was right, maybe.  This baby is awesome, boy... things are looking up!  Thank you Corks & Caps Liquor Store and New Belgium Brewing Company for this lovely prize...  :)

MUSHROOM POWER

I think I am over the blue day hump. Thank you Jesus!

Now onto brighter things....I just love these little characters.  I have a whole slew of them packed away somewhere in my belongings.  So comical and so chipper..... my blue day is gone, bring on the mushroom head characters!  Woot, woot!

God bless the broken road, that led me straight to you...

The day of the doldrums

I feel just like the picture looks.  I really don't have too many days like these....typically I am a fairly chipper personality type.  Today, my hormones must be cranked up to 'freakin out of control so am feeling a bit blue.   I'm having one of those days that you could just cry for no good reason at all.  Kind of feeling like an emotional roller coaster, I'm just 'sayin.  Seriously, is this what getting older does to you? I'm sure you don't care to hear me ramble on.....   blah, blah, blah.

Okay, I feel a tiny bit better now that I got that off of my chest.  But only a tiny bit.... wha-a-a wha-a-a wha-a-a.  Jeepers, I'm not using any swear words here, but I even had a large bowl of a turtle icecream sundae!  Comfort food = icecream.  Isn't icecream suppose to be the cure all?  Hoping tomorrow will offer up some better feelings, 'cause this basically sucks.

Nobody can be exactly like me….sometimes even I have trouble doing it.

Snorkeling in Akumal Mexico

‎***This video looks better if viewed in full screen (if you hover over the bottom of the video, you will see the "YouTube" logo & four outward arrows (click on those arrows to view in full screen).
This is where we went snorkeling in Akumal Mexico while on vacation. The video footage includes fish, coral and beautiful large turtles ranging from two to five feet in length from head to tail. The water was not very crystal clear that day because of rough weather days prior stirring up the sand. So the video footage is a little hard to see the colors and definition. Akumal is located 40 minutes south of Playa Del Carmen.

These little piggies went to dirtyfest...

These are some damn dirty piggies!  We went to Summerfest in Milwaukee Wisconsin.  So after about an hour of walking, I look down at Jenna's feet and I was in total shock!  How does a kid get this dirty in one hour???  She arrived with clean feet but after about an hour....WOW!  After I noticed her feet filthiness, I started laughing so hard and of course she said "Mom, you are making me feel bad for laughing at me!"  I could not help myself from laughing uncontrollably!   I finally figured out her secret.... standing still, she would alternate by resting one foot on top of the other!  She could of won the prize for having the dirtiest feet there!

Go big or go home.
