2011 Felt Bicycle "The Cruiser"

Holy buckets batman...we never win anything! Woot, woot...pinch me as I can't believe it is real!

A few weeks back, I walked into a liquor store and saw this beauty on display with a box sitting below it for a drawing.  I thought, dang that is a beautiful bike and so I put my name in the drawing box.  I  had some extra time to kill so I also put another one in for my sister as well.....we are now new owners of this beautiful and kick ass bike!  We are so excited and can't believe it is true!

New Belgium Brewery is doing a promotion for their 20 year anniversary and this is their 20th Year Anniversary Fat Tire Cruiser with the theme "Joy Ride."  This Custom Fat Tire Cruiser is made by Felt.

The bike is decked out with so many custom details.  I dig the pint glass cut outs on the sprocket and the rack is killer! The leather seat and the fantastic bell ringer are sweet!  We can't figure out if we should keep it or try and sell it for some loot.  It is so beautiful and quite the conversation piece, it will be hard to pry our fingers off of it to sell it.... but if the price was right, maybe.  This baby is awesome, boy... things are looking up!  Thank you Corks & Caps Liquor Store and New Belgium Brewing Company for this lovely prize...  :)

MUSHROOM POWER

I think I am over the blue day hump. Thank you Jesus!

Now onto brighter things....I just love these little characters.  I have a whole slew of them packed away somewhere in my belongings.  So comical and so chipper..... my blue day is gone, bring on the mushroom head characters!  Woot, woot!

God bless the broken road, that led me straight to you...

The day of the doldrums

I feel just like the picture looks.  I really don't have too many days like these....typically I am a fairly chipper personality type.  Today, my hormones must be cranked up to 'freakin out of control so am feeling a bit blue.   I'm having one of those days that you could just cry for no good reason at all.  Kind of feeling like an emotional roller coaster, I'm just 'sayin.  Seriously, is this what getting older does to you? I'm sure you don't care to hear me ramble on.....   blah, blah, blah.

Okay, I feel a tiny bit better now that I got that off of my chest.  But only a tiny bit.... wha-a-a wha-a-a wha-a-a.  Jeepers, I'm not using any swear words here, but I even had a large bowl of a turtle icecream sundae!  Comfort food = icecream.  Isn't icecream suppose to be the cure all?  Hoping tomorrow will offer up some better feelings, 'cause this basically sucks.

Nobody can be exactly like me….sometimes even I have trouble doing it.

Snorkeling in Akumal Mexico

‎***This video looks better if viewed in full screen (if you hover over the bottom of the video, you will see the "YouTube" logo & four outward arrows (click on those arrows to view in full screen).
This is where we went snorkeling in Akumal Mexico while on vacation. The video footage includes fish, coral and beautiful large turtles ranging from two to five feet in length from head to tail. The water was not very crystal clear that day because of rough weather days prior stirring up the sand. So the video footage is a little hard to see the colors and definition. Akumal is located 40 minutes south of Playa Del Carmen.

Some people walk in the rain, others just get wet.
